Go bird-watching at Cape Recife Local Authority Nature Reserve, a 9 km (5.6 mi) long circular walking trail that showcases sights of unspoiled beaches, natural dune vegetation, and boulder formations. You'll also pass several historically significant buildings, including a lighthouse, an old military post, and a bird blind. The reserve also allows visitors to explore underwater reefs, try a game of golf, or just soak up the sand and sunshine. You must have a permit to enter; security guards are on site during the daylight hours.
