The World Heritage-listed Pitons represent two volcanic spires rising from the Caribbean Sea. Take a boat ride to gaze at the tall volcanic plugs, or try snorkeling in the surrounding waters, filled with coral reefs and an array of marine life. Brave the strenuous hike to the top of the lush Gros Piton, the larger of the two spires, and enjoy the panoramic views. Climbing the very steep Petit Piton, the smaller spire, is recommended for pro climbers only.     If you want a serious challenge then this is for you. This is billed as a hike but it is more like rock climbing. You will need hiking boots with good ankle support. Definitely get the hiking stick...

    The fee when I was there in Jan 2022 was about 50$ US. The hike is quite strenuous, be prepared.
